As further substantiation of what I wrote yesterday, I received an e-mail through Match from a 42yo man in Santa Monica. The note contained no evidence that this boy had been awake through high school English classes—written all in lower case, grammar and sentence formatting were missing, and much was written as if he were text messaging - u instead of you, r instead of are, 2 instead of two. Gentleperson that I am, I wrote a brief but kind message back saying I wasn't interested in starting a long distance relationship. He wrote back:
hello baby i do love ur profile and i would love to know what it takes to to come closer to u or be ur friend any way
At that point I went and looked at his profile again, and noticed that he stated he was looking for men. MEN! Do I look like a man?!

Man, I don't even shorten my TXT messages! "are" remains "are," in my book. Tendonitis be damned!
